Greetings in the name of Yeshua!
Street Evangelism Campaign to Begin in the City of Detroit
As we now enter the summer months, we want to encourage you to join us in our annual evangelistic campaign “Beginning with the Jew First”. Plans are underway for our small crew to be out on the streets every weekend in the month of August with the Gospel. We start with the Jewish population; we will hit parts of the suburbs then go directly into Detroit. We are actively training volunteers and members of Congregation Shalom. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact us at our office as soon as possible.
Fellowship of Suffering Tour Rescheduled
Also in August we have rescheduled our “Fellowship of Suffering” Tour beginning at the Holocaust Museum on August the 18th at 1 PM. This will be a large tour based on the response we’re getting already. The neat thing, Congregation Shalom will be doing a service right after the tour at the Holocaust Center. You don’t want to miss this one. We will be going to the African American Museum as well. The cost is $8.00 per person, or $16 for both museums. We plan to have kids coming from the inner city and Youth for Christ teens who need to be sponsored for both tours. These tours are unique in their concept and are an interesting way to impact both Jews and Gentiles alike.
Congregation Shalom Meeting Time and Place
Congregation Shalom is meeting every Sunday at 1 PM at Hilton Oaks Baptist Church in Ferndale and we want to extend a personal invitation to our local partners to come out for our “Family and Friends” Day and Oneg Sunday August 11th at 1 PM. Dinner will be served at 3 PM. We will have special singers and a wonderful service planned. Please make every effort to be with us. For additional information click here.
You are a Blessing to Us and We Covet Your Support
We are thanking God for His mercy and grace which always comes through his people. We are still struggling financially. We have lost a lot of support since the first of the year for various reasons, but that has not changed our resolve to stay the course. What we are asking those of you who receive this letter and wonder whether or not you should support us or not is to remember that what we do is significant. We are a one-of-a-kind outreach and we have been faithful to it for over 10 years. We really need you to step up as the Lord leads and help us complete the task of bringing Jews and Gentiles into the Kingdom. We are asking you to revisit your financial commitment to the Lord through Shalom Ministry.
We covet your prayers and your support and we are thanking you in advance. For those of you who have always and continue to be faithful with your support, Donna, myself and our staff thank God for you. And may He give to you as you have given.
Continue to pray for our beloved Jewish people and the work of Shalom Ministry.
