Greetings in the name of our glorious Messiah and Savior Yeshua. We trust this letter finds you in great health and basking in the warmth of His love.
Hebrew Messianic Christian Institute Off to a Great Start
Donna and I have been exceptionally busy in terms of our partnership with Destiny Christian School and the newly established Hebrew Messianic Christian Institute, and we are delighted to report that classes are already under way on Monday evenings. Students are responding very well, and there seems to be a real hunger and thirst for a greater understanding of the Jewish roots of our faith. Please pray for the success of this unique endeavor. (If you are interested in learning more about the Institute, please call the school at 586-773-6568.)
Donna and I recently had the pleasure of attending our good friends’ Jewish engagement party, where we fellowshipped with many unsaved Jewish people. Perhaps the highlight of the party was when we organized a special prayer and blessing for the bride and groom. We asked all the family and friends to form a circle, and we prayed in Yeshua’s name for the entire family. We incorporated the gospel message into the prayer, planting seeds in the hearers, and we are believing that the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) will give the increase.
NAMB Certification in Training for Jewish Evangelism
We are in the process of reorganizing and prioritizing the ministry, both at Shalom and Shema Bet. I have been invited again to North American Mission Board (NAMB) headquarters. NAMB is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention and I will be certified as a trainer in Jewish evangelism for the organization.

Please Pray for this Ministry and for our Jewish Friends
All of these outreaches are in desperate need of funding, and we ask that you consider supporting us on a regular basis. As of this writing, the ministry is financing everything but Shema Bet. It is indeed a step of faith to see these components of our ministry reach their full potential and impact the lives of so many Jewish people for the cause of Messiah.
Please pray for the success of our upcoming events, including our annual fundraiser—a sit-down, banquet-style dinner in November. Also, we’re planning a special service at Destiny School on September 13th commemorating Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur; Congregation Shema Yisrael Bet will have a Yom Kippur service on the 18th; and I’ll be at People’s Community Church in Detroit for a speaking engagement on the 29th. We’ve also begun the preliminary planning for an evangelistic campaign in the spring of 2011. All of these events are planned and put together by faith and at the expense of Shalom Ministry, and we desperately need your prayerful financial support to make them successful.
Please continue in prayer for the salvation of our Jewish friends: Coby, Mr. Borenstein, Mrs. Goldstein, Barry, Paula (a Holocaust survivor), Gary and Paula, Moe and Diana, Mrs. Cohen, Michelle, Alana, Liz and Stella, Rebecca and Ross, Jonathan, Liz and Brian, and Bella. Please join us in fervent prayer for the Holy Spirit’s intervention in their lives and that they will receive Messiah as Savior and Lord.
In the past, we have mentioned a young Jewish friend of ours who is currently in recovery in Ann Arbor. Please pray that he will surrender totally to his Messiah and that God will give us wisdom as we continue to work with him.
Finally, please pray for the success of this ministry and our board, and for the growth of Congregation Shema Yisrael Bet.
