Virgo, the Virgin: The seed of woman to bring forth the Savior (Gen.3:15);…Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isa. 7:14 ). Virgo contains 110 stars–11 times 10. Ten is the number of perfect completion. In this constellation there is one star of first magnitude, six of the third, and ten of the fourth. One is the number of God, six is the number of man, three is the number of the triune God–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Four is the number of the world and ten is the number of perfect completion. Herein lies the Story of John 3:16 , For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Libra, The Unbalanced Scales: This constellation signifies the story of man’s unsuccessful attempt to buy, or work for, his own salvation. Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting (Dan. 5:27 ). At the great White Throne Judgment, every man or woman who has not received the virgin-born Son of God as Saviour will be judged, or weighed, according to their works, and all will be cast into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:11-15). This constellation has 51 stars. According to Numbers in Scripture, by E.W. Bullinger, 50 is the number of deliverance or jubilee; one is the number of God, making 51 the number of Divine revelation or deliverance. Of the 51 stars, two are of the second magnitude, one of the third, and eight of the fourth. Besides the numerical typology already given, two is the number of witness and eight is the number of Jesus Christ. For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…(Eph. 2:8-10 )

Scorpio, The Scorpion: The sting of sin to death that infects every man. There are 44 stars in this constellation–included are one of the first magnitude, one of the second, 11 of the third, and eight of the fourth. 44 is eleven times four, representing man’s best effort. Concerning the meaning of 11, we quote from Numbers in Scripture. If ten is the number which marks the perfection of Divine order, then eleven is an addition to it, subversive of and undoing that order. We read in I Corinthians 15:56, The sting of death is sin… There is no other name in heaven or on earth whereby men must be saved but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12 ), andRevelation 22:18 & 19 states that if anyone attempts to add to or take from the words of God recorded in the Bible, and this certainly includes the way of salvation, his name will be taken out of the book of life.

Sagittarius, The Warrior: The One who came to defeat the old serpent, the Devil, and who will come again to save the world from the Devil’s anointed ruler, the Antichrist. There are 69 stars in this sign and includes five of the third magnitude and nine of the fourth. 69 is a combining number, ten times six plus nine. Five is the number of grace, and nine is the number of rebellion. When Jesus Christ returns, the world will be in rebellion against God and His anointed He will return as King of kings and Lord of lords, leading the armies of heaven to destroy those of Antichrist. As told in Zechariah 12:10 , He will pour out the spirit of grace upon the house of David and Jerusalem.

Capricorn, The Goat: The goat was the atonement animal that pointed forward to the ultimate sacrifice that God would prepare. Hebrews 9:28 ; 10:4 & 5 says, So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation…For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared (for) me. 51 stars are in this constellation which includes three of the third magnitude and three of the fourth. As we have already presented, 51 is the number of Divine revelation. The three stars of the third magnitude and three of the fourth. As we have already presented, 51 is the number of Divine revelation. The three stars of the third magnitude signify that Jesus Christ, who was sacrificed for us, was both perfect God, revealed in three persons, and perfect man, whom God sent into the world to save the world from the penalty of sin.

Aquarius, The Water Bearer: The Sent One who would pour out waters of blessings on the Earth in the former and latter rain. Numbers 24:7 , Isaiah 32:1 & 2, and many more Scriptures prophesy that the Messiah would come to pour out upon the earth abundant waters of blessings upon the world and mankind. Joel prophesies that when He returns He will come as the latter rain to bring life to a dying earth (Joel 2:23 ). There are 108 stars in this sign which includes four of the third magnitude. 108 is a combining number, ten times ten signifying ultimate perfection, the Blessed Hope of the world. 8 is the number of Jesus Christ.

Pisces, The Two Fish: The two fish that would be multiplies as a symbol of God’s grace offered to the world.John 6 records that Jesus took two fish and fed five thousand people. Five is the number of grace. When Jesus Christ was born, the sun entered the sign of Pisces and is now passing into the sign of Aquarius. One of fish in the sign is parallel to earth while the other points upward toward heaven. We believe this signifies that God is calling out of this world a people for His name during this Dispensation of Grace to inherit heavenly places. Included in this constellation are three other signs: the band binding the fish together; Cepheus the king and redeemer coming to rule; and Andromeda, the chained woman, signifying Israel in bondage and affliction. There are 153 stars in all facets of this constellation, as far as we could determine, which we associate with the 153 fish the disciples caught when Jesus instructed them to cast their net on the right side of their ships. As brought out in our book Apocalyptic Signs in the Heavens, these represent 153 nations that Jesus Christ will catch up into His Kingdom when He returns. There are at least 14 references in the Bible comparing this event to a fisherman catching fish in a net.

Aries, The Lamb of God Who would take away the sins of the world. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come as a lamb being led to the slaughter. John 1:29 says, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. There are 66 stars in this sign, on for each book in the Bible. The story of the Savior coming as the Lamb of God to shed His blood fo the sins of the world binds all 66 books of the Bible together, from Genesis to Revelation.

Taurus, The Bull: The Messiah coming to tread underfoot all who obey not the Gospel. The bull in this sign is not as one being let to the sacrificial altar, but is a raging bull on the attack. There are 141 stars in this sign. This is a combining number, ten times ten, 40 and one. One is the number of God and 40 the number of testing or probation. When Jesus Christ comes again, man will have been given his last opportunity to set his own house in order.

Gemini, The Twins: The twofold nature of the Messiah: Son of Man and Son of God. There are 85 stars in this sign, a combining number: 10 times 8 plus 5. Ten is the number of grace. Perfect grace and truth came in the person of Jesus Christ.

Cancer, The Crab: Possessions held fast, the security of the children of God. Jesus said, I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (John 10:28 ). There are 83 stars in this sign, a combining number of 10 times 8, plus 3. This number signifies the perfect Saviour who brought perfect, not conditional, salvation.

Leo, The Lion: The Lion of the Tribe to Judah coming to reign forever. Luke 1:32 & 33 says, He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever: and of his kingdom there shall be no end. In Revelation 5:5 , Jesus as King of Kings is identified as…the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David. There are 95 stars in this sign, 9 times 10 plus 5. He will come to end all rebellion of earth and restore the Kingdom from Heaven.
